Perinton Concert Band

Formed in 1977, the Perinton Concert Band is currently in its 32nd season of providing high quality concert band music to audiences in the Rochester, New York area. From its modest beginning the group has grown into an accomplished ensemble that has been invited to perform at the New York State Band Directors Association Symposium, the Music Educators National Conference All-Eastern Division Conference, Association of Concert Bands National Convention, and the Boston Festival of Bands.

The Perinton Concert Band is very fortunate to be part of the cultural life of its home, The Town of Perinton, located in the Rochester, New York area. The band contributes to the cultural richness of the area and is proud to represent its cultural heritage. The band gives an average of six performances during the season running from September to June. Its members reflect a cross-section of ages, occupations and backgrounds united by the love of music and the enjoyment of performing good concert band music.

In 1996 the Band recorded its first CD, The Pride of Perinton, followed in 2001 by a second CD, Great Music from Great Movies. Their most recent recording was completed in 2006 and features a collection of holiday favorites – A Gift of Music from the Perinton Concert Band.
